About Mark
Mark Green (shown here with his partner in crime, Nemea) is an author, poet, activist and ritualist who lives in the unceded lands of the Southern Pomo and Coast Miwok peoples in California. He is mostly composed of Russian River.
Author of ATHEOPAGANISM: An Earth-Honoring Path Rooted in Science, its follow-up volume ROUND WE DANCE, and a collection of poetry, A Red Kiss, he is best known in his local area for his creation and development of Sonoma County Conservation Action, the largest environmental group on the North Coast of California; work for which he was recognized by Congress and named Sonoma County Environmentalist of the Year.
More recently he has focused his professional life on leading statewide efforts to protect important biotic, cultural and recreational areas on federal public lands, while in his personal life he builds and supports the international Atheopagan community through the work of the nonprofit Atheopagan Society.
